The 2023 Idaho Governor’s Cup, a scholarship fundraiser for Idaho’s youth in pursuit of higher education, returned to the Sun Valley Inn from September 7th through the 9th – and our very own Scott Bowden, Director of Education, was able to represent Hayden as he led an interactive “cause and effect” wine tasting for the event.
Hosting over thirty guests on the Limelight Terrace, Scott walked each of them through the power of pairings and showed them how food interacts with wine – the salty, the savory, and the sweet. Guests were able to taste a range of varietals, from Prosecco to Riesling to Chablis to Cabernet. Each matched with their perfect pair! Speaking of perfect pairs…our President, Andy Mitchell, was even there to lend a hand by pouring wines while Scott presented! A dynamic duo for such an amazing event.
