Mayra Thometz

Proudly raised in Idaho, Mayra has built her career around supporting people and strengthening workplace culture. Before joining Hayden Beverage Company, she gained valuable experience as a supervisor at a childcare learning center and as an HR Coordinator for a home health company. She came to HBC in 2017 as an HR Assistant and steadily advanced through the department, serving as HR Coordinator and HR Manager before being promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2025. In her current role, Mayra leads the HR team—including employee experience, talent acquisition, and business partnerships—and works with the executive team to support strategy, culture, and compliance. She loves working in HR for many reasons, but making connections and building lasting relationships sits at the top of her list.

Outside of work, Mayra and her husband, KC, are raising two sons, Mateo and Kruz, along with their Goldendoodle, Lucy. As a family, they enjoy sports, camping, bike rides, church activities, and spending time with friends and extended family.

• Favorite car you owned:  My first car—’98 Hyundai Elantra, stick-shift. Fun to drive, the gas mileage was AMAZING
• Favorite book (s):  From kids books to novels, too many to name…..
• Favorite hobby:  Redecorating my house….My husband is not a fan, lol
• Biggest win/accomplishment (non-work related):  My 11 year marriage & my 2 amazing little boys
• Favorite part of job:  Helping others grow and succeed
• Special powers/skills:  After having kids I have mastered being able to function on very little sleep!
• If you could go to any event in the world, what would it be?  FIFA World Cup Finals with my dad
• Most bizarre thing found in your desk:  A Robster. It’s the head of “The Rock” on a lobster body. No idea where it came from.
• One item on your bucket list:  The Hot Air Balloon Festival in Cappadocia, Turkey
