Guinness Import Company

The history of Guinness beer, draught, or stout is a stirring tale of inspiration, dedication, ingenuity, and effort. It's over two centuries of sublime brewing craft, a remarkable knack for spreading the word and more than a few leaps of faith. Arthur Guinness started brewing porter & ale in 1759 at the St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin. In 1799, he stopped brewing the Dublin Ale, so he could concentrate solely on the production of his increasingly popular porter. Over the years, Guinness has grown in popularity and is now served in over 150 countries around the world.
