Miles above his competitor with 63 BASE jumps

Kyle Basile - Tuesday, June 20, 2017

— Miles Daisher has beat Danny Weiland’s unofficial record for the most human-powered jumps off the Perrine Bridge in 24 hours.Daisher started BASE jumping at 11 a.m. Monday and finished at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, the summer solstice. Following each landing, Daisher handed off his parachute to a team of packers and then made the climb up the 486-foot canyon wall. From there, he rode a bicycle across the bridge to do it again.
He has now officially climbed more than the distance of Mt. Everest.
“Somebody said last night it was the shortest night,” Daisher said to a waiting crowd after his 62nd climb to beat Weiland’s 61-jump record. “I beg to differ.”
